Made for: Tennessee Renaissance Festival 2005
I designed this costume myself from leftover bits of things I had laying around. The top is a modified pattern and the skirt/loincloth is of my own design. I already had the wig to use for Amalthea, and I liked the way it looked with it so it became part of the costume. The staff was purchased at the ren fair, and the ears came from Hightower Crafts. The band around my waist was made using belts I got at a second hand store. I cut them to shape, painted them and adorned them with matching trims, then I punched holes in the ends to lace them together. The leg covers were made with a suede-like material then bound with leather cording.
A word of advice, don't wear this to your local ren fair. I was wearing bikini bottoms underneath the skirt, but that just wasn't good enough for them. The next time I wore it at MTAC in 2006, I made a mini skirt to go underneath out of the same material as the leg covers.
There are two of some shots because one is rather large to show detail, and the other is small enough to fit the screen.
